1. Refunds depend on the booking
Refund eligibility is not identical for every Thailand tour, activity, hotel, villa, transfer, package or other travel service. The applicable operator, selected booking option, travel date and payment conditions can determine whether a refund is available and what amount may be returned.
2. Payment verification
A payment receipt is issued only after the payment has been successfully verified. Where a transaction/reference number or payment proof is submitted, the booking can remain under review until Meridian Thai Travel verifies the payment.
3. Refund requests
Refund requests should identify the relevant booking and traveller details. Where possible, provide the booking number, customer name, travel date, payment reference and the reason for the request. The request will be assessed against the applicable operator and booking conditions.
4. Operator and third-party conditions
Where a travel service is supplied by a local operator, hotel, activity provider, transfer company or other third party, that provider's applicable refund rules may govern the transaction. Meridian Thai Travel can communicate the request and assist with the booking process, but the final refund eligibility may depend on the provider's terms.
5. Non-refundable or partially refundable services
Some booking options may be non-refundable or may carry cancellation charges. Optional upgrades, personal expenses and items not specifically included in an activity or package are not automatically refundable.
6. Processing and communication
Once a refund decision is available, the customer should be informed through the contact details associated with the booking. Any applicable processing period can depend on the payment method, provider and financial institution.
